Description

1) A former brand name for a chemical solution applied to building stones as a preservative in the 19th century (Schur 1985). It probably contained soluble fluosilicate salts, such as Magnesium silicofluoride, which were typically used for hardening Cement and Plaster.

2) [Alpin Chemie, Germany] A current brand name for a wax polish developed for stone floors.
