Bolting cloth

Description

A plain weave fabric with a fine uniform mesh. Bluteau, or bolting cloth, was originally made from silk, but fine grade Cotton, Polyester, Nylon, and vinyon fabrics have also been used. Occasionally Stainless steel wire bolting cloth is used is screening machines. It is used to make silk screen prints and for sifting flour.
