Satin white

Description

An unstandardized term that has been used for gypsum. Recently, the term satin white has been used for a bulky, opaque, white paper filling material. This filler, also called calcium sulfoaluminate, is made by the reaction of aluminum sulfate, hydrated lime and potash alum.
