Latten

Description

A sheet of a Brass alloy containing Tin and sometimes Lead. Latten was used from the Middle Ages to the 19th century for inexpensive utensils and bowls as well as for decorative metalwork. Other terms include: white latten (tin-plated Iron), black latten (thin sheets of brass), and gold latten (brass foil).
