Description
Green crystals formed by the reaction of Acetic acid with Iron. Ferrous acetate was used as a mordant for black dyes on Cotton and Silk. It was also used in dyeing Leather and preserving Wood.

Soluble in water and alcohol. Oxidizes to ferric acetate in air.
