Description
A green copper salt that is generally used as a solution in mineral spirits or oils. Copper naphthenate is used as a Fungicide, Insecticide, wood preservative, and as a component in antifouling paints. A 0.1% solution has also been used as a paper treatment to minimize the growth of mold and fungi (Roberts and Etherington 1982). Copper naphthenate can leave a green residue on treated materials.
