Description
A vegetable drying oil pressed from the seeds of the hemp plant, Cannabis sativa. Hempseed oil is similar in properties to Poppy seed oil and has been used for paint media, varnishes, food, and soap in India, China, Hungary, Poland, Russia, and Japan. Hempseed oil contains approximately 10% saturated fatty acids, such as palmitic and stearic acids, with the remainder being unsaturated acids, such as linoleic, linolenic, and oleic. Hempseed oil tends to be greasy and wrinkles when dry.
