| Uemera's notes | The color is called as "青白橡 (Aoshiro-tsurubami)" in the "延喜式 (Engishiki)" from the 10th Century AD. Uemura referred to the recipe in the manuscript. Similar colors are also called "麹塵 (Kikujin) " and "山鳩色 (Yamabato-iro)". Use of this color in the Chinese imperial court was also recorded in the "康煕辞典 (Kōki-jiten)" from 1716 AD. 周礼天宮内司服に「天子乃薦麹衣」とあること |
