Uemura's notes | The color is called as " (Aoshiro-tsurubami)" in the " (Engishiki)" from the 10th Century AD. Uemura referred to the recipe in the manuscript. Similar colors are also called " (Kikujin) " and " (Yamabato-iro)". Use of this color in the Chinese imperial court was also recorded in the " (Kki-jiten)" from 1716 AD. |
