Apoyo is "an informal group of international members with the mission of supporting the conservation and preservation of the material cultural patrimony of the Americas. It was started in 1989 by interested members of the AIC but has functioned independently. The Apoyo network currently includes approximately 4,000 conservation and preservation professionals, and continues to grow.
