Description
A reinforced or strengthened Composite material. A composite material is a solid mixture of two or more materials, such as polymers, Cement, Plywood, coated fabric, metal alloy, or Ceramic. An advanced composite is reinforced through the addition of continuous fibers that are stronger than Fiberglass (i.e. ceramic fibers, metallic fibers, aramid fibers, carbon fibers, or Kevlar®, etc.). The reinforcement typically provides a lighter material with greater tensile strength.
