Flitch

Description

A set of thin, longitudinally cut, veneer pieces from a single log placed in their proper cutting order. Flitch may also refer to the log selected and prepared for cutting the veneer slices. Still another variation on the term flitch, is for a laminated construction of boards held together as a single unit.
