GCI
Getty Conservation Institute
The Getty Conservation Institute (GCI) was established in 1983 as an operating institute of the J.Paul Getty Trust. GCI focuses on the preservation of worldwide cultural heritage through its programs in scientific research, education and training, field projects, and information dissemination. The comprehensive collections of conservation and preservation literature at the GCI Library can be searched online. Additionally, the GCI website disseminates the results of GCI research and provides copies of its current and archived newsletters. AATA Online (http://aata.getty.edu/NPS/) is a new Internet tool introduced by GCI in 2000. AATA Online provides searchable Internet access to the over 100,000 abstracts published in the Art and ArchaeologyTechnical Abstracts and its predecessors since 1932.
