Gold rubber

Description

A soft, absorbent piece of rubber used to clean and shine gilded or enameled surfaces. Gold rubber is prepared by first soaking a piece of pure rubber in turpentine to remove impurities and oils; then it is coated with a thin layer of paraffin.
