International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions

The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) is a non-profit organization that encourages and provides for information exchange in the field of library science. IFLA was founded in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1927 and now has over 1600 members in 143 countries. IFLA core programs include Preservation and Conservation (PAC) which was established in 1984 to address concerns on the preservation and access to library materials. IFLA resources include links to digital libraries, bibliographis, electronic journas, conference calendars along with numerous directories, databases and indexes.
