Description
[Ciba-Geigy] A brand name for a series of antioxidants. In the 1970s, Irganox 565 was occasionally used as a stabilizer in dammar varnishes for paintings. Later studies concluded that Irganox produced yellow decomposition products when exposed to ultraviolet light. Thus its exposure to UV should be minimized.
