Mountain laurel

Description

A dull yellow dye is obtained from the leaves of the evergreen mountain laurel tree, Kalmia latifolia, native to the northeastern United States. The fresh shredded leaves of the mountain laurel produce a yellow-tan color on wool with a chrome mordant.
