Description

[QuakeHold! by Trevco, San Marcos, CA] A brand name for a soft, sticky mineral wax used for positioning and earthquake stabilization of small objects. QuakeHold! Crystalline Clear Museum Wax™ is composed of microcrystalline wax softened with petroleum jelly. Museum Wax is designed to temporarily secure the object for later, proper bonding. It is only recommended for securing objects to shelves, pedestals, display cases, and for cleaning, repair, or photography.

It was formerly sold under the brand name of Anchor Wax™. Other QuakeHold products include Museum Putty and Museum Gel.
