Odd beetle larva

Description

A yellowish-white beetle, Thylodrias contractus. The odd beetle larvae eat natural fibers such as Silk, Wool, and Cotton. The adult insects are about 2 to 3 millimeters long and can live up to 50 days. They lay eggs that hatch in 2 to 4 days. The larvae have a c-shaped brown body and grow in length to 3 mm. The larval stage lasts 242 to 338 days.
