Description
A colloidal dispersion in an organic solvent. An organosol usually contains a suspension of a finely divided particles of an insoluble resin. When the solvent evaporates, the resin solidifies as a hardened plastic. Organosols are used to mold polyvinyl chloride resins. A plastisol is a specific type or organosol where the resin is suspended in a plasticizer.
