Uemura's notes | The name of this plant is either Ouboku (Gold Holy_ or Old fustic. The color would be affected by ash water but hardly by acid. Old fustic tree grows tall, suggesting that it might be what was called Kro-tree () in the ancient China. The left sample was firstly soaked into the dye bath, followed by ash water. |
