Packing, Art Handling, and Crating Information Network

Founded in 1989, PACIN (Packing, Art Handling, and Crating Information Network) is dedicated to expanding the network of information and resources available to the museum and art handling communities with the goal of improving art handling professionalism. Areas of focus include packing, crating, shipping, rigging, storage, installation, mount making, exhibition fabrication, technical and material updates, educational and training opportunities, and job descriptions and responsibilities. PACIN is a non-profit, all volunteer group that was granted the status of Professional Interest Committee by the American Association of Museums (AAM) in 1997. (extracted from website)
