Payne's gray

Description

A dark gray pigment mixture. Payne's gray is generally composed of ivory black with small amounts of blue and white. It is used for watercolors. The blue pigment is listed in various sources as synthetic ultramarine blue, Prussian blue, or Phthalocyanine blue.
