Rawhide

Description

The untanned skin of cattle processed by unhairing with lime then stuffing with oils and grease. Rawhide is a stiff, tough leather used for laces, ropes, whips, drum heads, lamp shades, and mallet covers. It is very sensitive to moisture and humidity.
