Description

A high temperature form of potassium Feldspar that typically is found in volcanic rocks such as Obsidian and Rhyolite. The colorless to white stone has tabular, or sometimes Acicular, crystals.

Physical and Chemical Properties

  • Monoclinic crystal system;
  • Cleavage = perfect in one direction;
  • Fracture = uneven;
  • Luster = vitreous;
  • Streak = white;
