Silver eosin

Description

The common name for a synthetic dye composed of silver tetrabromofluorescein. Silver eosin absorbs light at long wavelengths (up to 600 nm) and was used late 19th century to increase the sensitivity of photographic emulsions in the yellow and green regions.
