Statuary marble

Description

Any hard, vein-free, crystalline marble that is used for carving sculptures. Statuary marble has a uniform color and texture and is free from soft spots and other defects.

Examples of statuary marbles are Parian, Carrara, Belgian Black, Alabama Cream and Colorado Yule.
