Description

A colorless, glasslike thermoplastic resin made by polymerizing styrene. See Polystyrene.

Physical and Chemical Properties

  • Soluble in benzene, chlorinated hydrocarbons, esters and turpentine.
  • Insoluble in ethanol, acetone, glycol ether, ligroin.
  • Refractive Index = 1.50-1.75
