Description

[Air Products, Inc] A brand name for a series of surfactants that are used for multiple functions such as wetting, defoaming and dispersion.

Some of the Surfynol product classes are:

  • Surfynol 61: A volatile wetting agent (100% active liquid) based on acetylenic chemistry that provides substrate wetting in systems where surfactant residues or contamination are undesirable
  • Surfynol 104 series: A nonionic wetting agent and molecular defoamer (100% active waxy solid) that provides a unique combination of performance benefits. Surfynol 104 has a unique chemical structure that allows this product to provide multifunctional properties such as surface tension reduction, foam control, and viscosity stabilization. The hydrophobic nature of Surfynol 104 typically results in significantly reduced water sensitivity compared to either conventional ethoxylated or anionic surfactants.
  • Surfynol 107L: A nonionic wetting agent, molecular defoamer, and coalescing surfactant
  • Surfynol 400 series of ethoxylated products: water soluble wetting agents that are used in paints, coatings, inks, adhesives, electroplating and paper coatings
  • Acetylinic alcohols: nonionic, nonfoaming surfactants that can be used in water or alcohol solutions, such as Surfynol 61.
