Description
A light color oak, Quercus bicolor, native to eastern North America. The swamp oak produces a strong, hard, heavy wood used in shipbuilding and furniture.

- Medium tree growing to 25 m
- Bark=gray and scaly with irregular ridges and fissures
- Leaves= obovate (6-15cm) with irregular blunt teeth
