Description

A test used to determine the pick resistance of a paper. The Dennison Wax Pick test provides a set of wax sticks with varying adhesive strengths. A drip of wax from each stick is placed on the paper, cooled, then removed. The paper is rated according to the highest adhesive level that can be removed without disturbing the paper surface. The wax pick test is designed to simulate the pulling stress applied to a paper as it passes through a printing press.
