Description
A thermoplastic copolymer of Tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene. The properties of FEP resin are similar to other fluorinated polymers, such as Teflon® (Polytetrafluoroethylene), in that they are resistant to chemicals. The main difference is that FEP is Thermoplastic and can be extruded and molded. It is available as a powder, aqueous dispersion, film and monofilament fiber. FEP is used for wire insulation, linings, and nonsticking finishes. Felt fabrics from FEP filaments are used for filtration.
