Description
Any of several types of hoofed ruminant mammals of the family Cervidae including reindeer, elk, caribou, and moose. Male deer and a few females have deciduous antlers. Deer are native to all continents except Australia and Antartica. They have been hunted since prehistoric times for their meat, skin, and antlers.
