Description
A material added to paper pulp or cloth to decrease porosity; add luster or weight, and increase stiffness. Examples are Rosin, Glue, Gelatin, Casein, gums, Starch, synthetic resins (Polyvinyl alcohol, Polystyrene, Polyacrylic acid and Polyvinyl acetate), and modified cellulose.
