Description
[ICI] A brand name for a series of fiber reactive dye. Reactive dyes were first discovered in 1954 by Rattee and others; they were marketed as Procion dyes in 1956. Fiber reactive dyes have bright colors and are lightfast. They react with the hydroxyl or amino groups found in cellulose, protein, nylon, acrylic and acetate fibers.
