Description
A common name for a commercial volatile Solvent or solvent mixture capable of solubilizing synthetic lacquers such as Cellulose nitrate. When the lacquer solvent evaporates, it deposits the resin as a thin cohesive film. Some lacquer solvents are Acetone, Ethyl acetate, ethanol, Toluene, xylene, and Butyl acetate.
Hazards and Safety
Most are flammable with explosive potential.
