Description
Organometallic mercury compounds that were once commonly used as antiseptics, fungicides, herbicides, and germicides. Mercurials are no longer used because of their toxicity to humans and the environment. Examples include Merbromin, Mercuric chloride, pyridyl mercuric acetate, Phenylmercuric acetate, and Phenylmercuric chloride.
