Description

[Rhodia] A brand name for a Phosphoric acid metal cleaner. Prior to 2001, Bright Dip was sold for cleaning Silver, Copper, and Bronze. It also acts as a rust inhibitor. Bright Dip will slightly etch the surface of Steel, Aluminum, and Zinc. It is sometimes used prior to painting to aid in paint adhesion. Rhodia purchased Albright & Wilson in 2001, and the resultant product named Bright-Dip product contains concentrated phosphoric acid and is marketed solely for chemical polishing aluminum.
