Alkali feldspar

Description

A group of Feldspar minerals that are rich in the Alkali elements of Potassium and Sodium. Alkali-rich feldspars are: Microcline, Orthoclase, Anorthoclase, Sanidine, and Albite. They contain less than 5% Anorthite.
