[AKA Chemie Wishab, Germany] A brand name for a Factice eraser. Tapeten Reiniger erasers are composed of Vulcanized rubber and/or Vegetable oil mixed with Chalk. The Tapeten Reiniger erasers leave copious small crumbs that darken to a deep orange color on aging (Estabrook, 1989). Surface pH measurement of the Tapeten Reiniger erasers gave a neutral value of 6.97 (Estabrook, 1989).
