Wood filler

Description

A premixed putty used to fill cracks and defects in wood and book boards. Wood fillers are typically composed of finely ground Wood flour in a Cellulose nitrate binder. They cure to a hard surface that can be sanded, sawed or drilled. Examples of commercial wood fillers are: DAP® Wood Dough, F:IX Wood Patch, and Plastic Wood. Other binders that have been mentioned for wood fillers are Carpenter's glue and wheat paste.
