Originally the name for a wood filler that was composed of wood flour mixed in cellulose nitrate resin.  In the 1990s, DAP trademarked the Plastic Wood name for it's latex-based polymer suspended in acetone and isopryl alcohol solvent.  It is filled with sawdust of wood fibers and may also contain limestone and atapulgite.
